Adam Peaty
Adam is one of the most dominant athletes ever to live. After being crowned an Olympic Champion at just 21 years old, over a decade since his senior international debut he has accumulated 14 World Records and has 3 Olympic Titles to his name. As the only person in history to swim both 25 seconds in the 50 and 56 seconds in the 100 Breaststroke, there is no one better in the world to share their secrets to the stroke.
Ed Baxter
During his career, Ed was Youth Commonwealth Champion, Multiple British Champion & Record Holder as well as being English Senior Short Course Champion all over the 200m breaststroke. Ed was Adam Peaty’s training partner for 5 years and now acts as one of his support coaches.
Tom Bates
For nearly two decades Tom has been studying and applying his knowledge of performance psychology all over the world through various sports. Pro athletes and club level swimmers alike engage with his unique mentality towards performing and winning. Tom has a way of engaging everyone that he speaks to so you feel like you are on the edge of your seat with his revolutionary ideas of how swimmers can unlock their minds to help them get the most out of the pool.
Kevin Pickard
Kevin has worked in the swimming space now for 20 years, supporting swimmers, coaches, and parents. His specialism is insights into the hurdles that parents face along the journey, and across the parent station at the Race Clinic, parents will have extensive opportunities to ask questions and explore the challenges they are facing.
There will also be several additional staff supporting the Race Clinics, including team managers and media representatives.
Content
Swim Station
During the pool station, there will be two separate stations. Adam will be leading the Breaststroke technique session, sharing all his secrets on how he became the most dominant Breaststroke swimmers in history. Ed will be leading the second station in the pool, where swimmers will be working through the breaststroke pullout. The underwater phase is an area where swimmers can make a huge difference to their races with some very simple technical changes.
Strength and Conditioning Station
The Strength and Conditioning session will be focussed around Breaststroke specific exercises. Land work is vital to a swimming programme and with expert swimming specific knowledge our Strength and Conditioning coach can offer unique insights to support your long term swimming goals.
Racing Edge Station
The Racing Edge Station will be led by Tom. This station will be focused on how swimmers transition from good to great, working on the finer details that are always forgotten but sometimes the most critical. Tom will be helping swimmers to master their minds to get the most out of their performances.
Parent Support Station
As a swimming parent, you want your child to be the best they can be, but it is often hard to find the right balance between wanting to help your swimmers achieve their best results but ensuring they are having the best experience possible on their swimming journey. Whilst the swimmers are at the Racing Edge Station, the parents of those swimmers are invited to attend this station where Kev will be running a workshop and open Q&A to support you on your swimming journey as a swimming parent.
Presentation and Q&A
Adam has had an incredibly unique journey, to still be on your very best form over a decade after making your senior debut is incredibly channelling both physically and mentally. Adam is an extremely open person, and will be sharing the key messages and insights from all of his highs and lows, especially since the Tokyo Olympics and what his future plans are leading into the 2028 LA Olympics. To round off the day, attendees will have the opportunity to ask Adam any questions you have.
