Content
Swim Station
Led by James, the pool work will be based around the key Butterfly skills that have allowed James to excel at all levels of the sport. The focus will be centred around delivering world-class skills and focussing on the small details that make a BIG difference! There will be a station focussed around Butterfly technique and then also a station based around Butterfly turns.
Gym Station
The Gym session will be led by Rob. Gym work is vital to a swimming programme and as the expert in swimming specific gym work Rob can offer unique insights. Rob was British Swimming’s lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for over 5 years and following this was Adam Peaty’s personal coach for over six years and has been key to many swimmers success over this period.
Performance Lifestyle Station
The Performance Lifestyle Station will be led by Kevin. This station will be focused on how swimmers transition from good to great, working on the finer details that are always forgotten but sometimes the most critical. Kevin will be helping swimmers to master their lifestyles outside of the pool to get the most out of their performances.
Parent Station
As a swimming parent, you want your child to be the best they can be, but it is often hard to find the right balance between wanting to help your swimmers achieve their best results but ensuring they are having the best experience possible on their swimming journey. During the Performance Lifestyle Station, parents will be invited to join the swimmers, where you will begin to understand how you can best support your swimmer along the journey and ensure their lifestyle is well-balanced and provides opportunity for longevity within the sport.
Presentation and Q&A
To round off the day, James will be giving a presentation around his journey through swimming, the lessons he has learned, how he has managed to retain success for so long and explore his pursuit of becoming Better Than Yesterday. James will also provide swimmers and parents with an opportunity to ask any questions they may have at the end of his presentation.
